In 2018, NLH welcomed Timothy C. Ryken, MD, as a specialty provider in Neurosurgery. Dr. Ryken is currently the Chief of Neurosurgery for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and is only the fourth to serve in this role since the program’s inception in 1947. Dr. Ryken is also a Professor of Surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. His longtime career mission of teaching, service and research reflects Dr. Ryken’s commitment to his fellow neurosurgeons, residents and students. His primary areas of focus include tumors of the brain and spine, spinal disorders and image-guided therapies.
