A New Hampshire native, Michael (Mike) Liberty grew up in Hollis and attended Trinity High School in Manchester, New Hampshire. He held finance and product-management roles at PayPal, J.P. Morgan, and CIVC Partners before co-founding Signifyd in 2011, where he now serves as chief risk officer. Signifyd provides fraud protection for online retailers using artificial intelligence.
Mike holds an AB in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Stanford University.
Diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma brain tumor in 2016, Mike underwent two surgeries and a course of chemotherapy and radiation, completed in 2022. The experience deepened his interest in healthcare and guides his work on the New London Hospital Board of Trustees.
Since returning to the state in 2015, Mike has lived in New London, New Hampshire, with his wife, Dr. Frances Lim-Liberty, a pediatric endocrinologist at Dartmouth Health, and their three daughters.
Family time often includes boating on Lake Sunapee, softball in Warner, and skiing at Ragged Mountain.
