Frances Faro, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at Dartmouth Health, specializing in foot and ankle care. She also serves as the associate program director for the Dartmouth Orthopedic Surgery Residency, the Surgery Section Chair at New London Hospital, and the President-elect of the New London Hospital Medical Staff. She is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Faro is the president of the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Society and holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society. She has won numerous awards for her teaching work and has been listed as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2021. She was named a New Hampshire Magazine Top Doctor in 2026, 2025 and 2024.

Dr. Faro received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and her MD from the University of California at San Diego. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Colorado in Denver and her fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

She is a member of the Upper Valley Rowing Foundation and the AVA Gallery and Art Center. Frances lives in Hanover with her husband Eric, two sons, and two spoiled Labradors.
