Jonathan C. Waltman, MD
Cardiovascular Medicine
Patients come to a cardiologist with a diversity of concerns at all stages of life. We may treat life-threatening illnesses one moment and deliver preventive care to promote a lifetime of good health the next. We have a chance to make someone's life better with every encounter. No matter what concerns they arrive with, enriching a person's life is the most satisfying part of my job.
I feel that every person who walks into a physician's office deserves to:
- Be heard as a person and not just a medical complaint
- Be treated with dignity and respect
- Receive the physician's undivided attention
- Walk away with a clear understanding of what we can do to help them
At the end of a visit, I want my patient to feel that I have gotten to know them as a person. My goal is to help them feel that I have listened to them and spoken with them with respect and understanding. After a successful visit, I have learned about my patient and they have learned something about the problems that brought them to me.
