Hospital Days Rebrand
We are proud to announce a reorganization and rebrand of Hospital Days for 2023. To learn more about these efforts, read our latest release.
Fundraising Priority
A critical part of this rebrand is the transition of Hospital Days proceeds from supporting the unrestricted Annual Fund to an annually-selected fundraising priority. The 2023 Hospital Days beneficiary is NLH's Hematology-Oncology Infusion Services. Funds raised will help improve and enhance the infusion patient experience. Donate or sponsor activities to benefit Infusion Services.
Community Forum
Save the date for a new Community Forum to kick-off Hospital Days on Thursday, August 3. More details to come!
Parade
The New London Hospital Days Parade will be held on August 5, 2023 at 10:00AM!
This year’s parade theme: A Storybook Celebration, was inspired by New London’s very own literary legend, Tomie dePaola, who wrote and/or illustrated over 270 books. Celebrations of books and storytelling serve as a reminder that literacy, reading, writing, illustration and your imagination are a form of glue that binds us all together. Triathlon Update
After careful thought and consideration, New London Hospital (NLH) has made the difficult decision to discontinue its annual triathlon. Traditionally held on the last day of Hospital Days, the triathlon has been running for more than 35 years. Despite our collective appreciation for the history of this event, a thorough evaluation revealed that rising costs and a decline in participation have made it unsustainable. It is critical for NLH to invest only in events and activities that positively advance our mission.
We are grateful to each and every participant and supporter of the NLH Triathlon since 1987,and are pleased to share that the core activities of Hospital Days, including the midway and parade, will continue. Our team is deeply committed to these important community events. Thank you for your understanding and support.
