An otolaryngologist is a doctor trained in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT).

Common conditions and pathologies we treat include:

  • Laryngeal cancer
  • Nodule
  • Papillomas (growths that may or may not be benign)
  • Sinus disorders
  • Vocal cord polyps
  • Voice misuse, abuse, or overuse syndromes

We also manage diseases of the larynx (voice box) and the upper digestive tract or esophagus. This includes issues with voice and swallowing disorders.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss affects 1 in 10 North Americans. It is a common condition addressed by otolaryngologists. We provide medical and surgical treatment of hearing issues, such as

  • Balance disorders related to hearing
  • Ear infections
  • Ear noise (tinnitus)
  • Facial and cranial nerve disorders
  • Nerve pain related to the ears
