Screening sites are available throughout New Hampshire to provide free breast and cervical cancer screening if you are a woman aged 18 - 64 and you have no health insurance or a high deductible and limited income.
These services are offered through Let No Woman Be Overlooked - Breast & Cervical Cancer Program, a statewide project of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center and New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
Locally, the program is available at Women's Health (526-7575) in New London and Newport Health Center (863-4100) in Newport.
Safe Sitter is a national program that teaches 11-13 year-old adolescents the importance of being prepared when babysitting. It improves the welfare of young children by increasing the availability of babysitters instructed in safe and nurturing child care techniques. Topics covered during the class include success on the job, babysitting as a business, child care essentials, preventing problem behavior, injury management and more.
