NEW LONDON HOSPITAL ADDS NEUROSURGERY SPECIALIST

New London Hospital is pleased to welcome Timothy C. Ryken, MD, as a specialty provider in Neurosurgery.

A native of Iowa, Dr. Ryken received his medical degree, subsequent internship, graduate degree and residency from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After completing his residency in neurosurgery, Dr. Ryken received a fellowship to University of Cambridge – MRC Cambridge Center for Brain Repair in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Ryken is currently the Chief of Neurosurgery for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and is only the fourth to serve in this role since the program’s inception in 1947. Dr. Ryken is also a Professor of Surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. His longtime career mission of teaching, service and research reflects Dr. Ryken’s commitment to his fellow neurosurgeons, residents and students.
