NLH DIRECTOR TO SERVE ON STATE BOARD

Lori Underwood, Senior Director of Quality Improvement at New London Hospital, has been selected to represent the New Hampshire Hospital Association on a statewide board dedicated to reviewing current Certificate of Need (CON) rules for inpatient physical rehabilitation services.

With the rules set to expire in November of 2011, the CON Board determined that an examination of the regulations to determine changes or updates is preferable to adopting current rules as they exist. Underwood will co-chair the committee along with Chris Martin, CON Board member who represents the New Hampshire Healthcare Association. The first meeting of the committee will be scheduled for early in 2011.

Underwood joined New London Hospital in 2005 as Senior Director of Planning and Projects. With the completion of the Building Towards the Future building improvement project, she transitioned to the role of Senior Director of Quality Improvement.
