Message to the Community

Message to our community

This week, we joined other members of Dartmouth Health in the decision to make the use of masks optional in our facilities. While this is a welcoming step for many patients and staff, we still need to remain diligent.

For those who are experiencing cold and flu type symptoms or have had a known exposure to COVID-19 (within 7-10 days), we still require the use of masks in our buildings. We also realize there are some people who may still be comfortable wearing masks for various reasons, including those who are immunocompromised. Our staff respects the choice of our patients to do so and will wear a mask at the patients' request during the visit.

As we welcome the warmth of spring this week, we are hopeful this latest measure is a reflection of brighter and healthier days ahead. I thank all our community members for their patience and understanding as together we navigated through some challenging times these past few years. We consider it a privilege to serve as your community hospital and we remain steadfast in our commitment to improve the health of our communities by providing our patients with high-quality healthcare.

Thank you,
