Center. During the course of the year, they will work in Internal
Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Surgery and Psychiatry.

Says Brian Frenkiewich, Osteopathic Physician and Director of the
UNE Program at NLH, “This partnership is a great opportunity to
not only positively impact the future of new medical providers,
but also to educate medical students on the important roles
Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) and rural health care clinics play
in keeping our populations healthy. Recruiting physicians and
health care providers to a rural region is a challenge. The more
exposure students can receive to these communities, the more
likely they are to choose to practice at a CAH or rural health care
center when they complete medical school.”

with that agency in Alaska and Washington, DC. Amanda
graduated from UNH and has worked at Monadnock Community
Hospital. Both call New Hampshire home.
