The New London Hospital Emergency Department is fully staffed 24 hours a day by physicians, nurses and ambulance personel who are specially trained in emergency care. The department is equipped to handle routine emergencies as well as complex medical, surgical and trauma care. It is located on the upper level of the hospital and is comprised of a three-bed trauma room and five private exam rooms.

Ambulance services with Advanced Life Support personnel are available 24 hours a day. A helipad is available for medical air transport.
