The Rehabilitation Services Department provides inpatient acute care and skilled rehab services. These services include physical, occupational and speech therapies. When a physician writes an order requesting therapy, that patient is seen within 24 hours. We offer state of the art therapy as well as specialized services depending upon the diagnosis.
NLH's Sports Medicine & Therapy Services is the preferred provider of the widest range of therapy services in the Lake Sunapee region. The breadth and scope of services we provide is constantly expanding. Our staff is highly skilled in physical, occupational and speech therapy techniques, and our special training allows us to develop the best possible treatment program to motivate you back to your peak level of performance. We maintain a personalized approach so that regaining your health and returning to an active, comfortable life after an illness, injury or surgery is a positive experience.
Rehabilitation Services also offers an Athletic Trainer to help ensure that high school athletes have the necessary information to prevent injuries. Should an injury occur, the Athletic Trainer is present at all after school practices, regularly scheduled home games, home playoff games and some away competitions. The major role of the Athletic Trainer is to assist in prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of an athletic injury or illness. When an injury occurs, the Athletic Trainer provides initial assessment, first aid, decisions regarding return to play and parental contact if necessary. Services also include education on nutrition, weight gain or loss, and fitness/conditioning programs.
