 Our radiology and diagnostic imaging department is dedicated to providing physicians with the information needed to diagnose and treat their patients in a timely, quality manner. We provide routine radiology services as well as subspecialties including:
Digital Mammography Digital MammographyNew London Hospital featured the first digital mammography system in New Hampshire. Digital mammography is accurate, fast, and offers greater flexibility and magnification for women with denser breast tissue. Breast images produced through computerization rather than X-ray film are clear and easy to read. The image can be viewed within seconds. Women no longer have to wait while the films are developed to be sure the images are usable, which means the test can take as little as half the time of a film mammogram. Our technologists are all registered radiologic technologists certified in mammography, and all films are interpreted by licensed radiologists. We are an ACR accredited mammography site and maintain a mammography fund for area women who cannot afford a mammogram or other diagnostic service related to breast health. Call the Social Work Services Department at (603) 526-5425 to inquire about using the fund. UltrasonographyOur state-of-the-art equipment is an ATL HDI3000 Ultrasound machine. All technologists are registered diagnostic medical sonographers. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)We have a mobile 1.5T MRI, and services are available every Thursday and one additional day every other week. Computed Tomography (CT Scan)Our state-of-the-art General Electric Highspeed Scanner allows for a wide range of imaging procedures. All our technologists are registered radiologic technologists and we have coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bone Density AnalysisThis service is available Monday-Friday.
