New London Hospital (NLH) and The Wellness Connection: for a Healthy Lake Sunapee Region are pleased to present a free screening of the film The Kids Menu by Filmmaker Joe Cross on Wednesday, April 5.
The screening, held in partnership with Kearsarge Regional School District (KRSD) and Merrimack County Conservation District, explores the growing childhood obesity problem and how role models and food choices (in and out of school) can influence a child's health. Following the film, attendees will be able to engage in an interactive discussion with knowledge experts including Elke Melody, Registered Dietitian at NLH; Monica Valovic, Health Teacher and Registered Dietitian at KRSD; Travis Beaton, Food Services Director at KRSD and Chris Cantlin, District Manager at Fresh Picks.
"We are excited to be working with two Wellness Connection Coalition Partners to offer this educational and informative film screening," says Catherine Bardier, director of wellness and community health at NLH. "It's another example of the collective efforts local organizations are undertaking to positively impact the health and wellness of the communities in which we live, work and play."
The screening will be held at Kearsarge Regional High School Auditorium and Cafe from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Light dinner and snacks will be served. Registration is requested, please contact email@example.com or call 603-526-5093.
