New London Hospital has welcomed new leadership of its 24/7 Emergency Department, with Robert Hyde, MD taking the position of Director of Emergency Services. Dr. Hyde works in the Emergency Departments at both New London Hospital and Dartmouth-Hitchcock, giving him a unique perspective that further strengthens the relationship between the two affiliated organizations. His other current professional roles include Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Associate Co-Director of Emergency Ultrasound at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

Dr. Hyde received his MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He also completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound at Christina Care Health System in Newark, DE. Prior to working in New Hampshire, he was the Director of Emergency Ultrasound for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.

In addition to Dr. Hyde, Teresa Moulton, RN, MSN has joined New London Hospital's Emergency Department, as Nurse Manager. Ms. Moulton comes most recently from Lakes Regional General Hospital (LRGH) in Laconia where she was ICU Education Coordinator, responsible for clinical education, clinical course design and staff orientation. She received her BSN and MSN from Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Prior to working at LRGH Ms. Moulton served as a House Supervisor and as Emergency Department Nurse Manager at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

These highly experienced Emergency Department leaders join Richard Riley, BS, NRP who was promoted in March to EMS Manager, in charge of the New London Hospital Ambulance Service, which serves New London and six other communities in the region. Together with their staffs, they are dedicated to providing high quality emergency care in a critical access community hospital setting.
