PAM DREWNIAK APPOINTED TO ADVISORY BOARD OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RESPONSE TEAMS

Pam Drewniak, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for New London Hospital (NLH), was appointed to the Advisory Board for the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Disaster Behavioral Health Response Teams (DBHRT).

The goal of the DBHRT is to provide an organized response to individual victims, family members, survivors or communities affected by critical incidents or disasters. The teams are comprised of members who have experience in human services, psychology, mental health, substance abuse, social work, psychiatry, education or spirituality.

An NLH employee for 13 years, Drewniak is responsible for directing emergency planning exercises and drills at the hospital and is the EMS coordinator liaison for other regional service organizations that use NLH as their Medical Resource Hospital. She is a master level Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional and an Instructor/Coordinator with the Bureau of EMS. In addition, she is an EMS Representative for the New Hampshire Hospital Association and for the Greater Sullivan County Public Health Region.
