NEW LONDON HOSPITAL RECEIVES GRANT FOR NEWPORT TIGER TREATMENT CENTER

New London Hospital has been awarded a grant of $20,000 from an anonymous Upper Valley fund and the Newport Charitable Fund, made through the NH Charitable Foundation. The grant is for the expansion of primary and preventive care for adolescents at the Tiger Treatment Center (TTC) at Newport Middle High School. TTC is the only school-based health clinic in NH, opening in 2003 with support from the Endowment for Health, and is a program of New London Hospital. Serving over 300 students annually, TTC provides access to a healthcare provider during the school day for urgent care, referrals to other medical services, immunizations and preventive programs. The grant will allow TTC to expand its hours and services during the academic year.
