Ariel Labrecque of Sunapee received the Employee of the Year Award at a recent recognition ceremony honoring New London Hospital employees. A phlebotomist in the Baker Memorial Lab at New London Hospital for three years, Labrecque was commended for her compassion and skill.
"Whenever there is a difficult blood draw, Ariel is the one who is called," said Cloie Bridgeo, Director of the Lab. "Patient comfort is her primary concern."
The Employee Recognition event at Twin Lake Villa recognized employees for years of service and awarded individuals in three additional categories. Dr. Stephen Bissah, Hospitalist, of New London received the Patient & Family Centered Care Customer Service Award in recognition of his focused patient care and interaction with families. The Rookie of the Year Award, which goes to an employee with less than a year of service, went to Brian Earnshaw, RN, Newport, in the Medical/Surgical Unit. Kathy Carson, Warner, Unit Secretary in the Clough Extended Care Unit, received the Unsung Hero Award.
A recognition award for forty year's service to New London Hospital was presented to Pat Collins. Kathy Bowers was recognized for thirty years of service. Cassandra Hall, Rachel Hufault and Teresa Smith received recognition rewards for twenty-five years of service.
Twenty year recognition awards were presented to: Shari Bostwick, Koreen Bridgeo, RN, Karen Fuller, Lorraine Lamos, Sally Morrill, RN, Lawrence Schissel, MD, Cheryl Tutt, and Frank Valente. Awards were also presented for five, ten and fifteen years of service to a total of 48 employees.
New London Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital serving the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region in central New Hampshire, providing primary care and specialized clinical services to the community.
