Matt Petrin, OT, a resident of Springfield, NH, has been named the new director of the Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine department at New London Hospital. Petrin, a 14-year employee of NLH, is an Occupational Therapist and had been clinical coordinator of the program. As director, he is responsible for the coordination and delivery of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services operations, supervising a staff that delivers occupational and physical therapy at the hospital and at Newport Health Center. He also oversees the Athletic Trainer program at Kearsarge Regional High School. Petrin is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and helped develop an employee assessment program, also serving on the hospital's Safety Committee and Accident Investigation Committee. He is a graduate of the University of New England with a BS in Occupational Therapy. Petrin is vice president of the NH Association of Rehabilitation Administrators and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the National Board for certification in Occupational Therapy.
