LAB ANALYZER AT NEW LONDON HOSPITAL IMPROVES PATIENT CARE
New London Hospital recently installed a Vitro 5600 analyzer in its Baker Memorial Lab to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of patient lab testing. The analyzer minimizes unnecessary repeats or redraws of samples using advanced specimen management technology. Continuous process verification ensures the right result the first time. Each patient sample is entered with a special "tip" to ensure that there will be no contamination of one sample from another. A product of Johnson & Johnson, the analyzer was recently installed in the hospital lab. Baker Memorial Lab will perform over 270,000 patient tests on this analyzer each year.
