Patrick Skeffington, PharmD, MS, RPh, per diem pharmacist at New London Hospital, received the 2010 New Hampshire Pharmacist of the Year award at a ceremony on December 15, 2010 at the Manchester Country Club. The award is given each year to a licensed pharmacist who practices in a community, institutional or consulting pharmacy and who actively participates in national pharmacy associations, professional programs, state association activities and community service.
Skeffington has been a per diem pharmacist at New London Hospital since 2005 and brings years of experience and knowledge that allow him to evaluate patients and medication regimens thoroughly and accurately. He has contributed extensively as a resource for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at New London Hospital. In addition to his time at New London Hospital, Skeffington is the Chemotherapy Pharmacist at Cheshire Medical Center. He recently earned his certificate in Clinical Trials and Drug Study. Skeffington is active on the Relay for Life committee of Norris Cotton Cancer Center—Kingsbury Pavilion and was instrumental is establishing the Bald is Beautiful fund raising event.
The New Hampshire Pharmacist of the Year award is co-sponsored by the NH Pharmacists Association, the NH Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and the NH Independent Pharmacists Association.
